The Department of State’s Office of Consular Affairs released the July visa bulletin today, June 10, 2014. Unlike the June visa bulletin which saw retrogression for several countries in the EB-2 and EB-3 categories, the July visa bulletin has moved some priority dates forward.
The biggest forward movement is for EB-2 India, as predicted by Charles Oppenheim, senior official at the Office of Consular Affairs. The priority date for EB-2 India is now September 1, 2008. This is a movement of almost four years from the June bulletin when the priority date was November 1, 2004. The priority date for EB-2 China has also moved forwarded but less dramatically from May 22, 2009 in the June bulletin to July 1, 2009.
EB-3 India priority dates moved forward from October 15, 2003 to November 1, 2003 and EB-2 and EB-3 Philippines jumped one year from January 2008 to January 2009.
All other countries and priority dates for the EB categories remain the same from the June bulletin.
