The State Department’s Bureau of Consular Affairs released the June Visa Bulletin on May 7. In large part, priority dates for EB-2 have remained the same while EB-3 has retrogressed.
The priority date for all applicants in the EB-2 category not from India or China continue to be current. The priority date for China moved up slightly from April 15, 2009 in the May Bulletin to May 22, 2009 while India’s priority date remained the same at November 15, 2004.
EB-3 priority dates across most categories have retrogressed. For applicants from China the date moved from October 1, 2012 in the May Bulletin to October 1, 2006. For Mexican applicants, the priority moved from October 1, 2012 in the May Bulletin to April 1, 2011. All applicants not from China, India, Mexico, and the Philippines also had the priority date move backward from October 1, 2012 in the May Bulletin to April 1, 2011. India is the only exception in the EB-3 category as the priority date moved forward slightly from October 1, 2003 to October 15, 2003.
