The Department of State’s Office of Consular Affairs has released the October 2014 Visa Bulletin.
In the employment based categories, the October bulletin has moved several priority dates forward. The EB-3 priority date for Mexico, the Philippines, and all other countries except India and China is now October 1, 2011, a forward movement of six months from the September bulletin. EB-3 India’s priority date moved forward by one week to November 15, 2003 while EB-3 China’s priority date progressed five months to April 1, 2009.
In the EB-2 category, China’s priority date progressed to November 15, 2009, a forward movement of just over one month, while India’s priority date remains May 1, 2009. While the EB-2 India priority date has seen significant progress beginning with the July Visa Bulletin, the Department of State expects that EB-2 India may retrogress by the end of 2014 due to increased demand.
All other categories and countries remain current.
